Bir Billing camping packages: how to plan the perfect weekend
Two days, one night, and a sky full of paragliders. A weekend is just enough time to taste the best of Bir Billing without rushing. Here's how we'd plan it.
What a good package includes
The building blocks of a great Bir weekend are simple: a comfortable place to sleep, a bonfire dinner, a paragliding flight, and a little time to explore. A typical package brings these together so you arrive and just enjoy yourself:
- One night's stay in the tent or cottage of your choice
- Dinner, bonfire and breakfast
- A tandem paragliding flight (Classic or Prime)
- Help arranging a scooty or bike if you want to roam
A sample 2-day itinerary
Day 1
- Afternoon — Arrive, check in, settle into camp. Walk down to the river.
- Evening — Tea on the deck as the valley turns gold. Dinner at the bonfire.
- Night — Stargazing, then a warm tent.
Day 2
- Early morning — Drive up to Billing for a paragliding flight while the air is calm.
- Late morning — Land at Bir, breakfast back at camp.
- Afternoon — A short trek to the waterfalls or a ride toward Rajgundha before you head home.
How much should you budget?
It depends on the tent and the flight you choose. As a rough guide per person:
- Stay: ₹850–₹2,000
- Paragliding: ₹3,000 (Classic) or ₹4,500 (Prime)
- Extras: vehicle rental, café stops and snacks
The trick to a perfect weekend is leaving room in it. Pick one flight, one walk, and one long evening by the fire — and let the rest happen.
